Then Jacksonville State University’s Spring Kaleidoscope is for you!

You can hear a variety of styles like, jazz, opera, and choral. There will also be instrumental ensembles from JSU Chamber Winds, JSU Community Orchestra, Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band, and more.

For you visual arts lovers there will be a Gallery Exhibition March 3 – April 7 in the Hammond Hall Gallery at JSU. The visiting artists this year are Leisa Rich and Virginia Greaves.

The Foothills Piano Festival presents Dr. Kevin Chance. This festival will be Friday, March 18^th at 7:30 P.M. – 9:00 P.M. at the Mason Hall Performance Center. Dr. Chance is the guest of Dr. Wendy Freeland.

The Steel Band and Latin Ensemble Concert will be Tuesday, March 29^th at 7:30 P.M. – 9:00 P.M. at the Mason Hall Performance Center. The Steel Band is directed by Dr. Thomas McCutchen. The Latin Ensemble is directed by Dr. Andy Nevala.

Cody Brookshire will be performing in an Electronic Music Lecture Recital Thursday, March 31^st at 5:00 P.M. – 6:30 P.M. at the Mason Hall Performance Center. Cody is the guest of Dr. Chris Probst.

The Chamber Singers Dido and Aeneas Concert will be Monday, April 4^th at 7:30 P.M. – 10:00 P.M. and Tuesday, April 5^th at 7:30 P.M. – 9:00 P.M. at the Mason Hall Performance Center. The concert is directed by Dr. Patricia Corbin.

The 5^th Annual Jazz Festival will be Friday, April 8^th, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. in Mason Hall and Leone Cole at JSU. This is a FREE event and is welcomed to everyone. The festival will be directed by Dr. Andy Nevala and is sponsored by the David L. Walters Department of Music.

Encore! Spring Concert is Thursday, April 14^th at 7:30 P.M. – 9:00 P.M. at the Mason Hall Performance Center. The Show choir is directed by Dr. Renee Baptiste.

The Jacksonville Statesmen Spring Concert is Friday, April 15^th at 7:30 P.M. – 9:00 P.M. at the Mason Hall Performance Center. The concert is directed by Dr. Nathan Wight.

                There are many Junior Recitals in March and April:

Catherine Makofsky is a student of Mark Brandon. Catherine will be performing the clarinet Wednesday, March 16^th at 7:30 P.M. – 8:30 P.M. in the Mason Hall Performance Center.

Elizabeth Laird is a student of Dr. Jeremy Benson. Elizabeth will be performing the flute Thursday, March 17^th at 7:30 P.M. – 9:00 P.M. at the Mason Hall Performance Center.

Bryce Youmans is a student of Dr. David Lambert. Bryce will be performing the trombone Wednesday, March 30^th at 7:30 P.M. – 8:30 P.M. at the Mason Hall Performance Center.

Philip Treutel is a student of Dr. Thomas McCutchen. Philip will be performing percussion Thursday, March 31^st at 7:30 P.M. – 8:30 P.M. at the Mason Hall Performance Center.

Aaron Smith is a student of Mr. Chris Hosmer. Aaron will be performing the tuba Friday, April 1^st at 7:30 P.M. – 8:30 P.M. at First United Methodist Church, 1400 Noble St. Anniston, Alabama.

Cody Whitfield is a student of Dr. David Lamb. Cody will be performing the trombone Saturday, April 2^nd at 3:00 P.M. – 4:00 P.M. at the Mason Hall Performance Center.

T. J. Hughes is a student of Dr. Chris Probst. T. J. will be performing the trumpet Saturday, April 2^nd at 7:30 P.M. – 8:30 P.M. at the Mason Hall Performance Center.

Georgia Bratton is a student of Dr. Jeremy Benson. Georgia will be performing the flute Sunday, April 3^rd at 7:30 P.M. – 8:30 P.M. at the Mason Hall Performance Center.

Josh Hall is a student og Dr. David Lambert. Josh will be performing the trombone Tuesday, April 5^th at 7:30 P.M. -8:30 P.M. at First United Methodist Church, 1400 Noble St. Anniston, Alabama.

Daren Turner is a student of Dr. Chris Probst. Daren will be performing the trumpet Saturday, April 9^th at 3:00 P.M. – 4:00 P.M. at the Mason Hall Performance Center.

Trevor Stewart is a student of Chris Enghauser. Trevor will be performing the upright bass Monday, April 11^th at 7:30 P.M. – 8:30 P.M. at the Mason Hall Performance Center.

Cameron Born is a student of Dr. Tony Logsdon. Cameron will be performing Tuesday, April 12^th at 7:30 P.M. – 8:30 P.M. at the Mason Hall Performance Center.

Thomas Osborne is a student of Dr. Chris Probst. Thomas will be performing the trumpet Wednesday, April 13^th at 7:30 P.M. – 8:30 P.M. at the Mason Hall Performance Center.

John Roller is a student of Christopher Hosmer. John will be performing the euphonium Sunday, April 17^th at 3:00 P.M. – 4:00 P.M. at the Mason Hall Performance Center.

Lydia Wright is a student of Julianne Steele. Lydia will be performing the violin Sunday, April 17^th at 5:00 P.M. – 6:00 P.M. at the Mason Hall Performance Center.

                There are also a couple of Senior Recitals:

Jarret Irish is a student of Kenyon Carter. Jarret will be performing the saxophone Monday, March 28^th at 7:30 P.M. – 8:30 P.M. at the Cheaha Brewing Company, 1208 Walnut Ave, Anniston, Alabama.

Debra Mantua is a student of Dr. Nathan Wight. Debra will be performing soprano Saturday, April 9^th at 7:30 P.M. – 8:30 P.M. at the Mason Hall Performance Center.
