Cheaha State Park - Just twenty miles from Anniston, Cheaha State Park, the highest point of Alabama, is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts or those just wanting to catch a breathtaking sunset from one of the scenic overlooks. Oxford Lake- This area houses a paved/gravel track around the lake, tennis courts, batting cages and more. It is also home to one of Alabama’s oldest remaining covered bridges, moved from Coldwater Creek to Oxford Lake and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
